Ah, yes - breeding. When two monsters get together, they can produce a clutch of eggs. Each child is individually marked depending on what its parents look like - although the possibility for multiple, similar markings and/or very plain markings is possible, and of course the owners of the parent monsters have no hand in how the offspring look when they come out.
Keep in mind that each clutch size is dependent on the monster's fertility (which can be found in the
Monsterpedia), and is as follows:
Scant: 2-3 eggs per clutch
Normal: 2-4 eggs per clutch
Copious: 2-5 eggs per clutch
There are currently two breeding packages available. Each option has a limited number of slots. These slots will be sold in the first week of each month on a first come, first serve basis. For more information, see the rules at the bottom of this page.

Open breeding allows the public access to leftover eggs. It works like this.
Once the monsters have been bred, the owners of the parent monsters get to choose 1 egg each. The other eggs go to the
Sands, where anyone other than the owners of the breeding pair may apply to adopt them, free of charge. The original owners can opt to review the applications themselves, or they can leave that up to Pender and Rendel. The best applicants will be chosen, and they will be given the egg for which they applied. There will generally be a limit of 1 egg per applicant.

In a Closed Breeding, the clutch is split between the parent owners only. None of the eggs will be available to the public.
To purchase a breeding slot, first make sure that there are empty slots available (as shown above). Also make sure you fill the requirements below. Decide, between you and the other owner, who will be paying or how payment will be split. Send an e-mail to
dwfreehold@gmail.com (with the subject as "Breeding Request"), detailing which monsters will be breeding, who they're owned by (include forum names), and how you will be paying. Also include information on any items you may be using at this time.
We will accept only Paypal or cash (although I would recommend Paypal, because I cannot refund you should cash be lost or stolen in transt) for breeding transactions. Your monsters will be added to the breeding spot as soon as payment is received.
Requirements
- The breeding monsters MUST be of the same breed.
- The breeding monsters MUST be of opposite gender.
- The breeding monsters MUST be in their adolescent stage, at least.
- The breeding monsters SHOULD be owned by two different people; contact me for exceptions.
- Monsters with a fertility level of "Sterile" CANNOT breed.
