Notes: Iijok are owl-like creatures that keep mostly to the forests. They build their nests on the ground or in hollows near the ground; this is because Iijok cannot fly well. They have incredibly sensitive eyes, and can see equally as well in light or dark. Although they are technically omnivorous, Iijok seem to prefer seeds, roots, nuts, and berries over meat. As they grow, they develop wings with claws at the end, and can only stay airborne for short periods of time.
